Web definitions
  • Mongolian barbecue is a stir fried dish that was developed in Taiwanese restaurants in the 1970s. Meat and vegetables are cooked in large, round, solid iron griddles at temperatures of up to 300°C (572°F). Despite its name, the cuisine is not Mongolian, and is only very loosely related to barbecue.

It's so cool - The Chef makes the food in the middle of the restaurant....

It's a nice laid back, no frills kind of restaurant but fun. They were playing 80's music when we were there and I was singing along....

Saul's details in case you want to experience the food for yourself:

Oh yes! Good news! They still have a special on there but it's R79 per person ; eat as much as you like...

Beautiful Cape Town..

I just love living in Cape Town, it's really one of the most beautiful Cities in the World.

There is a part of me that will always love Lisbon in Portugal (Def has a special place in my heart) but in my opinion, Cape Town truly rocks!! There is so much to do and see, that a person can NEVER get bored..

Some recent images I have taken of the CBD (Central Business District)

Orinoco on Bree....

Hi!

Living in Cape Town is sooooo exciting! There are new places opening all the time; strange that they nearly all involve good food/coffee :)

Yesterday, a friend and I went lunch time to Orinoco for the first time. They have the most awesome Latino American food and the decor is very cute as well.

The address: 17 Bree Street Cape Town CBD (on corner with Prestwich Street)

The owner, Migdalia, is really friendly and passionate about food.

I had the Venezuelan soup of the day and it was really good. I cannot wait to go back and try the "mielie cake", which caught my eye as we walked out...

We also had a great waitress and it was a good experience all around.

Take a look how cool this new restaurant is.

If you are into trying different food, then I would say GO visit this restaurant.

Love,

Cols

Great Weekend find!!! I Love my Laundry Shop in Cape Town

Yes!

I found another cool place this weekend... one of my friends mentioned in the week that we must go take a look and yesterday morning, I found the opportunity to go for a quick cup of coffeeand I am really impressed with this shop!

Situated in Heritage Square, CBD.

As a combined laundromat, coffee shop, art gallery and wine distribution agent, this shop really is AWESOME. The decor is tooooo cute and the owner is super friendly as well.

I will be back very, very soon! Maybe back to try one of their weekly Wednesday evening ‘laundry parties’! Sounds interesting....

Take a look:

Interesting Interior!

Try it!

Franschhoek Motor Musuem

The other day we went to visit the Franschhoek Motor Musuem - I never even KNEW this place existed until about a month ago and I have lived in Cape Town my entire life!

We got a special deal of course and also opted for a lunch and vintage car drive AND wine tasting (goes without saying).

Well, I was blown away! If you are into vintage cars like I am, then you MUST GO. Do yourself a favour. It's really a special day out.

This was the view when we drove into the Wine Farm! It is soooo beautiful there; tranquil, you name it  :)

Views are great wherever you go on the farm and of course...

The cars = Superb!!

We are going back - apparently the cars get swopped every three months!
